Humpback whales sing for love and warnings
Scientists finally understand some whale sounds, and they're not too surprising
. Males trying to attract mates, mothers warning their calves, etc.
The sounds have intriguing names: wops, thwops, grumbles, squeaks, etc. So far no insight into the romantic new age notion of whales as great philosophers.
