5 years of blogfish

Who knew that blogfish would still be around after 5 years? I certainly didn't expect that longevity. A few visitors later (right), a bit of fun, some strange reactions (photo below left), and blogfish is still going strong.

There's even a spin-off site, Swim Around Bainbridge.

I started this site to see what new media is all about, and now I now use "new" (not so new anymore) media in my job. Never expected that to happen. After a couple of years of blogfish I upgraded to a better job after some colleagues at the old job had a fit about me blogging without an editor. I didn't expect to move to Europe, away from paradise in the Pacific Northwest. But now here I am in the foothills of the Swiss Alps, looking at sunset on Mont Blanc as I write this.

What happens in the next 5 years? I'm part of a fun new media project that will stretch some boundaries, I think. Maybe we'll see it show up here at the right time.

Thanks to all of you out there, my 350,000 visitors, for all the fun, and here's to 5 more years. Wonder where I'll be then?
