OK, not the first thought that comes to my mine when I think about global warming...but it's one message from Richard Cizik, the internationally known "Green Evangelist."
What he says may be important, since he's Vice President for Government Affairs for the National Association of Evangelicals, representing 45,000 churches in the United States.
Looks like a good time to reach across cultural divides and find common ground on saving the planet from global warming.

Agreed. One thing we should be reinforcing with Christians is the idea of STEWARDSHIP of the planet. Being aware of the damage man causes and the responsibility to make good is a common need no matter which "side" of the science/religion debate you're on.
I do think, however, some global warming deniers are deniers as a matter of corperate politics, not because they genuinely disagree with the science. It's nice to see someone stand up and say that we have no right to diminish in any way God's creation... OR to say that we have no right to destroy the planet we share with others.
