Watch out, jumbo squid may be coming to an ocean near you. They're coming at me at least, moving north into Oregon and Washington's ocean waters. And this may be just one more result of climate change. Some worry that the voracious predators will harm already-depleted salmon populations, but we humans should not deflect the credit for that achievement.
It's much more fun to ponder the coming of the red devils that are reputed to attack divers when alarmed.
Probably a good idea to keep your alarm clocks at home when you go diving.
